Along The Way Memories Are Made

On our last morning in Zion we had breakfast at our favorite restaurant in Springdale – Cafe Soleil. The food was simple, clean, so delicious and above all, healthy. It comes highly recommended by my three guys who can be very pick eaters, so make sure to visit if you find yourself in Springdale. I wasn’t sure we’d encounter such a place again during our road trip, so I savored every last bite of my meal and took some to go.

I really loved the ‘No Wifi’ sign at the Cafe’s entrance. A great message but what does it say about our society when we have to be reminded to talk to each other.

We followed Route 9 through the park which took us out the east entrance. Not too far down the road we came upon the Zion Mountain Ranch where we spotted buffalo roaming an open field. The kids (and adults) were super excited so we pulled over and explored for a bit.

After spending a good hour exploring the ranch we continued on our trek taking UT89 onto Utah scenic byway 12 through Red Canyon. This route took us through some amazing scenery and landscape, so naturally we stopped as often as we could.
