Advice From A Horse

Advice from a horse: Take Life’s hurdles in stride; loosen the reins and be free spirited

On our first morning in beautiful Torrey I woke up early to catch the sunrise over the red rock cliffs. I spent a wonderful hour of peaceful solitude out on the balcony enjoying the golden light and hearing the sounds of daybreak.  Soon enough it was time to wake up the boys. We decided the night before that me and my oldest son M would go on an early morning horseback ride. It was his first time on a horse and I was thrilled to share this memorable experience with him. We met Daniel and his son Colt outside the stables at 7:00am. Daniel runs Outlaw Trails Ride located right outside Capitol Reef Resort, and he and his colleague couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly to our family. My husband and C stayed back since the minimum age for riding was 8.  They had breakfast with Daniel and Colt while we were out on the trail, and I learned that the boys got a long really well and had fun together.

It was just the three of us out on the trail. Our horses had a mind of their own at times, but overall it was a great experience.

We ran into many cattle during our ride.
