The Narrows Continued

“All this he saw, for one moment breathless and intense, vivid on the morning sky;
and still, as he looked, he lived; and still, as he lived, he wondered.”

The Narrows was so spectacular and inspiring that I feel it deserves a second post. I’m sharing images taken mostly with my iPhone, which I housed in a protective plastic case around my neck.  I really didn’t know what to expect with the Virgin River, so I decided to play it safe and leave my DSLR back at the hotel.  I kept envisioning the drowning death of my Canon due to my clumsiness.  I didn’t end up tripping or falling but there were moments during the hike where I found myself submerged up to my chest.  I brought along my Fuji x100s which I had in a plastic bag inside my backpack. I would pull it out during rest stops, but for the most part my trusted iPhone was my main camera. It saved the day and that’s why I love it so!

Toward the end of our hike we found the perfect spot to have a picnic and take and in the sun.
